Trial follow-up is consistent: most of the weight lost on a GLP-1 returns within a year of stopping, because the medication suppressed appetite rather than resetting anything permanently. That makes the discontinuation phase the real unsolved problem, and almost nothing in this category is aimed at it. Nothing here prevents regain — protein, resistance training and a plan agreed with your prescriber are the substance, and these are at best adjuncts to that.
